To think that just three days ago Bitcoin was teetering on the edge of a corrective phase, struggling to hold above $100K—now it’s knocking on the door of yet another all-time high. Since the Trump/Musk fallout, Bitcoin has surged over 10%, dragging the rest of the market into a sea of green as altcoins ride the wave of Bitcoin’s momentum.

Despite the altcoin rally, Bitcoin dominance continues to climb, now quietly approaching the 65% mark once again. It’s a clear signal: Bitcoin remains the market’s primary engine, and the rotation trade into altcoins isn’t quite here yet. Meanwhile, in traditional markets, the S&P 500 has closed back above 6,000 for the first time since late February. Silver continues to outperform in the commodities space, while Tesla saw a bounce after Trump clarified he wasn’t abandoning his Tesla—going as far as to praise Starlink and wish Elon Musk well.

US–China trade negotiations resumed this week, with yesterday’s session reportedly lasting over six hours and discussions set to continue today. Any developments here could feed into macro volatility in the coming sessions.

Bitcoin now looks poised to enter price discovery and blue-sky territory. Sentiment continues to improve, with the Fear & Greed Index climbing to 71, flirting with extreme greed, another clear sign the bulls remain firmly in control. If momentum holds and macro risks stay muted, a fresh all-time high this week looks well within reach.

Stormrake Spotlight: Bittensor (TAO) ($420)

TAO has rallied nearly 10% in the past 24 hours, reclaiming the 21EMA and keeping momentum squarely with the bulls. Immediate resistance sits at the CPR zone around current levels, but a breakout above the blue horizontal confluence should open the door to $500. A move above would confirm a bullish structure in play.

BTC/USD Key Levels and Price Action:

Bitcoin has decisively broken through several major resistance levels, blitzing past the $107K supply zone and flipping $109.5K from resistance into support. The bulls are commanding the field here. All eyes are now on the all-time high just shy of $112K. A clean breakout could target $113K and propel us deeper into price discovery.

It was a successful weekend for Bitcoin, which built on Friday’s momentum despite a quiet macro backdrop. Price action did exactly what it needed to, reclaiming the entire Trump vs Musk pullback and restoring confidence among bulls.

As for the Trump vs Musk saga itself, it seems to have reached a definitive rupture. Trump declared his relationship with Musk is “over” and claimed he has “more serious things to do than talk to Elon,” even going as far as to issue threats if Musk finances the Democrats. While it makes for a headline-worthy feud, markets have already moved on. After the initial pullback, the dust has settled, and the market is now acting independently of this drama.

More significantly, Bitcoin has not only regained bullish momentum, it’s created a higher high and flipped structure back in favour of the bulls, completing a textbook V-shaped reversal. This shift comes at a critical time, with CPI inflation data due later this week and a new round of China–US trade talks scheduled to resume. Bitcoin has now positioned itself firmly ahead of a potentially volatile macro week.

Stormrake Spotlight: Bittensor (TAO) ($385)

TAO rode Bitcoin’s momentum over the weekend, reclaiming two key moving averages and trading above levels seen prior to the Trump–Musk fallout. Now back inside a pivotal price range, TAO must hold and reclaim the 21EMA to the bulls hope. If successful, bulls will likely target the recent lower high around $440.

BTC/USD Key Levels and Price Action:

Bitcoin has now completed its V-shaped recovery, with a confirmed structure of higher highs and higher lows. It’s testing resistance from the bearish supply zone just above $106K—an area that may continue to stall momentum. However, the uptrend remains intact as long as Bitcoin prints a higher low above the key $104K support. A sustained hold above that level would keep bulls firmly in control.

After the public fallout between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, Bitcoin tumbled back to $100K, dragging sentiment into fear territory. However, over the past 24 hours, BTC has staged a sharp rebound—ripping back above $104K with a textbook ‘V-shaped’ recovery that nearly erases the entire pullback. As a result, sentiment has shifted back into neutral territory, with the Fear & Greed Index now reading 52, up from yesterday’s fear levels.

Altcoins joined the bounce, but unlike Bitcoin, most remain below their pre-fallout levels. The exception was Sui, which surged nearly 10% and is now trading above where it stood before the political disruption.

Trump Refocuses on Powell

The White House swiftly shut down rumours of a Trump–Musk phone call, signalling no progress on that front. Instead, Trump has pivoted back to Jerome Powell, posting repeatedly on Truth Social. He called Powell “Mr Too Late” and urged a 100bps rate cut at the next FOMC meeting—suggesting that even if inflation ticks back up, rates could be raised again. Trump also teased that he’s ready to announce his pick for the next Fed Chair.

All this sets the stage for Thursday night’s CPI print, a key data point that will shape expectations ahead of the Fed’s interest rate decision the following week.

Weekend Watch: Bitcoin at a Crossroads

This weekend is critical. The momentum BTC reclaimed must hold to set the tone for what’s likely to be a volatile week. If strength continues, bulls could be gearing up for a push to new all-time highs. But a rejection could drag BTC back below the $100K mark.

Stormrake Spotlight: Bittensor (TAO) ($367)

TAO mirrored the broader altcoin market—bouncing 4.5% on the day—but still trades below pre-fallout levels. Price respected CPR support at $347, which now acts as the key short-term level. The bears are pressing, attempting to stall the recovery.

As noted yesterday, TAO will follow BTC’s lead, so the path of least resistance still lies with Bitcoin’s next move.

BTC/USD Key Levels and Price Action:

The ‘V-shaped’ recovery is a clear bullish signal, suggesting that the initial breakdown lacked conviction. Not only has BTC reclaimed the $104K level, but momentum has also flipped back to the bulls.

That said, overall structure remains in bear control—we’re still printing lower highs and lower lows. For full confirmation, BTC must break the previous high to reassert a bullish structure. Failure to do so could bring a retest of the recent low.

Crypto markets took a sharp turn as tensions between the White House’s dynamic duo, President Donald Trump and his long-time ally Elon Musk, boiled over into a very public feud. Once seen as inseparable during the campaign trail, with Musk widely credited as a pivotal force behind Trump’s November victory, the alliance appears to have unravelled.

Only months ago, they were side by side in the Oval Office, Trump signing executive orders favouring Tesla, and even granting Musk leadership of a bespoke agency, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). But the political honeymoon is over.

Rumours had been circulating that Musk had exited the Trump administration. Those whispers turned to headlines overnight as both figures fired shots across social media, Musk on X, Trump on Truth Social. The back-and-forth barbs left little doubt: the bromance is dead.

Markets React with Volatility

The political drama injected a fresh wave of uncertainty across markets, compounding already fragile sentiment from escalating Eastern European tensions and rocky tariff negotiations. Risk appetite dried up.

Traditional indices closed red across the board. Tesla, in particular, plunged nearly 15%, a sharp outlier driven by the fallout. In crypto, the pain was more measured but no less meaningful. Bitcoin slid 3%, Ethereum fell 7.5%, and altcoins bled deeper. The Fear & Greed Index for Bitcoin dropped to 45, slipping back into "fear" territory for the first time since late April.
